Tell us about yourself

Hi, I'm Cadence. My love for esthetics and spa treatments initially drew me towards the Fundamentals of Skin Care and Facials course. It was the first of its kind that I had come across in Yukon, allowing me to rethink any plans of relocating to BC or Alberta for further education.

What did you enjoy about the program?

Taking this program was more rewarding than I had envisioned. It was in-depth, comprehensive, and not just about the steps of a facial. It guided me through the intricacies of skincare ingredients and even kick-started my understanding of business principles.

Share some words of wisdom to future students

"It's a big commitment and requires effort, but remember - the courses are only for a week. The understanding and enrichment you'll gain about the trade is worth every bit of your time and effort. So, brace yourself and dive in."

What’s your long-term goal?

Currently, at the age of 18, my focus is on learning and gathering as much knowledge as I can. I am drawn more towards the facial and massage sides of esthetics rather than eyebrows. With an aspiration of working as an esthetician at a spa, I plan to take more courses with Ammanda. My ultimate dream is to have my own practice someday.
